CASE STUDY TIMELINE
Feb - May 2020 ( 4 Months )
AIM OF THE GAME
The aim of the game is to be the first one to form a four-letter word within two minutes.
The game consists of a set of 80 cards, plus one rule card.
GAME RULES
-
Each player starts off with 4 cards. The rest of the cards are placed in a ‘DRAW PILE’ between the players.
-
A timer of two minutes is set.
-
At all times, a player must always have four cards with them.
-
Going clockwise, each player draws a card from the Draw Pile. They then remove a card from their set and place it in a different ‘DISCARD PILE’, leaving them with four cards at all times.
-
The game continues until a player forms a four-letter word, or the timer runs out.
-
The difficulty of the game can be increased by varying the time limit, or the level of simplicity of words.
VISUAL DESIGN
-
The design is minimalistic, with a pastel blue and pink color scheme, which is bright and appealing to the eye.
-
Each card is 2.5 x 3.5 inches, which is the standard playing card size.
-
The use of simple illustrations on the letter helps distinguish between vowels and consonants. The letter is also mentioned in the top left corner of each card. This makes it easier for the player to view the letters while holding them.
